Keeping gifts Equal
You are welcome to include items not listed. However, to keep gifts equitable for all children in the same group home, we may need to redistribute additional items, so each child receives a similar number of gifts.
Consider gift cards from stores such as Walmart, Target, or Amazon; Visa gift cards; or fast-food restaurants. Personal care products—including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, shaving cream, lip balm, and deodorant—are also appreciated because receiving them prevents the kids from having to spend their own money on such necessities.
Deadline: December 5th
DO NOT WRAP the gifts.
Return all gifts unwrapped and label each item with the child’s name and group home or place all gifts for each child in a labeled bag.
For each gift receipt, write what the item is and the child’s name and group home on the receipt. Place all receipts in an envelope labeled with the group home so staff can track them.
All unwrapped gifts must be returned to your Kiwanis Rep no later than Saturday, December 5th.
