The Kiwanis Club of Ahwatukee is a group of your friends and neighbors (both men and women) working as a small part of Kiwanis International, the global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world, one community and one child at a time. Come join us!
Your local Kiwanis Club performs many service projects in Phoenix and in its surrounding areas. If you are interested in participating in community service or helping children in need, we encourage you to learn about us here on our site or at a club meeting. We meet almost every Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. Please read on for details.
Our 38th Annual Easter Parade and Spring Fling will happen on Saturday, April 19th. Please find, to the right of this page, the proper forms to sponsor either activity, apply for a spot in the Parade or for a vendor booth or a food services booth at the Spring Fling. Sponsors will be linked from our Web site through 2014.
This is our Home page.
Take a look at the Club Information page (above and to the left) to contact our President, get more information about our club, to contact our Webmaster or to view a map to help you find our meeting place.
We welcome you to join us for a meeting, so that you might get to better know who we are and what we do. Please see the Activities Calendar page (above left, again, with the rest of our pages) to determine who will be our guest speaker, and for exceptions to the almost every Thursday rule.
Our Photos page contains pictures we've taken during recent club activities.
The Links page may be used to contact some of our members or sponsors directly. It also provides some handy tools and the means to connect with other Kiwanis entities.
Finally, members and non-members alike have several options on our Member/Guest Options page. If you're not yet a member of our club you can request an application to join, ask to be put on our newsletter mailing list, request to speak to the club, donate a bike etc.
Here is a partial listing of our service projects and community contributions:
Reading Is Fundamental * Easter Parade and Spring Fling * The Festival of Lights Charity Golf Tournament * Back to School Shopping Spree * The Festival of Lights Kick-Off Party * Salvation Army Bell Ringing * The adoption of needy families at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and as needed throughout the year * Sponsorship of Key Clubs at three local High Schools * Funding six Ahwatukee Kiwanis Community Service Awards presented at three local Middle Schools * Bikes for Tykes * Adoption of foster homes during the holiday season...
For a much more comprehensive listing of our scheduled events for the coming year, please refer to our Activities Calendar page. We will post details about upcoming activities or speakers as they are finalized or scheduled. Check back here or contact our site administrator by clicking the Club Information page and then clicking the "EMAIL FOR INFORMATION" button there with questions about things we're planning, and doing.
You do not have to be a member of our club to participate in the activities we perform which interest you. Contact us via the Member/Guest Options page if you'd like to help with a particular project or if you have a suggestion for a new one.
