Foster Kids Thanksgiving

Children without a home not only don't have the support of family around them, but usually they do not get to celebrate holidays like the rest of us. Therefore, in partnership with two churches, the Kiwanis Club of Ahwatukee has adopted numerous foster homes and provides a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for the children.

Some of the food is donated by local restaurants, and volunteers help to serve the children. Homemade pies are baked by volunteers for the kids, and any leftovers are taken back to the group homes.

In years past, we served over 300 foster kids Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you to the Arizona Cardinals for coming and visiting the kids during their meal.
